Final Cut Pro Monitoring of output stream

It would be very advantageous if we could meter the output audio stream of FCP without the need
for Sound Flower or another "hack". I understand this is not easy as Apple have not made it easy for developers to create plugins to do this, but the standard VU metering really is virtually useless...

Hi Stewart,

thanks for your feature request. As Final Cut does not support custom surfaces it would result in reprogramming and adapting PPM just for FC. At this point I must disappoint you because I do not see that we will have time for this in the near future. It´s really not that we did not want to do it, it´s more related on lack of ressources. Other implementations like loudness metering have a higher priority.

As we are aware that this is requested, we will keep this in mind. But I cannot promise more now. Sorry.
